China’s iron ore imports reach 2 year high in November

According to data from China's custom, China's November iron ore imports increased by 17% from October and reached the highest level in about two years since the steelmakers are more willing to stock up on higher steelmaking profits.

The total import of iron ore was 65.78 million tons, the highest since January 2011.

In the first 11 months, the country's iron ore imports were at 672.9 million tons, increasing by 8% year on year.

The daily production of the last 10 days of November also reached 1.9599 million tons per day, up 0.4% from the previous 10 days.

In November, the country's steel exports increased by 6% from a month earlier to 5.13 million tons and total imports of the first 11 months were 51 million tons, up by 13% year on year.
